Croeso - Welcome to Clyro Pre-School!

Based within Clyro Church in Wales School, our friendly pre-school is led by Setting Leader Rhiannon Jones, alongside Setting Assistant Chris Mills. Together, we provide a warm, welcoming place where children can play, learn and grow.

We offer quality childcare for 3- and 4-year-olds, Monday to Friday, 8am–3.30pm during term time. We are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and follow the Curriculum for Wales.

We offer the Childcare Offer for Wales and Educational Funded Hours, with eligible children able to access up to 30 hours of free childcare. We are also registered with Tax-Free Childcare.

Being part of the school gives our children plenty of opportunities to feel at home in the wider school community. We share activities and celebrations, enjoy lunch in the main hall and join children from Reception to Year 6 for Celebration Assembly on Friday afternoons. We also make the most of the school’s wonderful spaces, including the ‘street’, library and outdoor grounds.

Our inviting pre-school space has plenty to explore, with areas for role play, construction, cars, books, sensory play, and arts and crafts. We’re also lucky to have fantastic outdoor areas for fresh air, discovery and adventure!

Each morning, we come together for a welcome song, nursery rhymes and circle time. Throughout the week, we offer a mix of free play and planned activities, following the children’s interests and helping them learn through the things they enjoy.
